She touched his calm face. It was still childlike. She had always been proud of her son, a boy who was simple, sensitive and well educated. Father of the brides will make a beeline for your son, her relatives had teased her and she had just smiled.

Today, dressed in full wedding attire he was in front of her with the girl of his dreams, but there was no happiness around. The stony silence wrenched her heart in pain and a deluge of tears flowed down her cheeks.

Her only child had been sacrificed in the name of honor.
